Mud run training involves a lot of running, jumping, and crawling. It’s no surprise that by hitting these primal movements regularly, you will naturally make the lower half of your body stronger and leaner, including your butt, thighs, hips and calves. For an added bonus, train outdoors with mixed terrains and elevations to hit the greatest variety of muscles. Also, running off-road leads to a decline in visceral and abdominal fat and ultimately a flatter stomach. Firm legs, flat stomach…that’s two reasons to train for the price of one!
